The MBSAT Teacher Training aspires to train highly qualified teachers that combine a robust mindfulness practice with hand-on experience in workplaces. The combination of a deep commitment to mindfulness and solid working experience in corporations or other organizations and institutions or as entrepreneur is necessary to ensure a high level of competency in teaching the practical approach of MBSAT. The ultimate goal is to infuse continuous-time mindful active inference skills, caring, wellbeing and healthy performance in the workplace and in private life.
Mindfulness for non-clinical populations is becoming more important in our world given the increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity – VUCA. We need to adapt to changes with speed in the age of digital revolution and climate change. In view of public and organizational interest and the high demand for secular mindfulness in private and professional contexts, it is imperative to develop dedicated teachers to deliver MBSAT to a wider population.
Moreover, MBSAT aspires to uphold a very high level of qualification of MBSAT teachers. Thus, MBSAT teacher training programs are conducted under the aegis of universities. Currently, they take place with the Mindfulness Initiative at Singapore Management University – SMU, one of the top business schools in Asia and worldwide. The teachers’ certificates are issued by SMU.
