Active Engagement: Minding BETA
Minding represents a proactive form of mindfulness that goes beyond passive observation, engaging directly with our thoughts, emotions, and actions. This phase focuses on refining our recognition models to accurately perceive reality, ensuring our internal models are in optimal shape to recognize life’s complexities. The emphasis here is on keeping our perceptual systems—Body sensations, Emotions, Thoughts, and Action impulses—in sync, minimizing prediction errors through active inference and free energy minimization.
